​I provide independent skin camouflage expert witness services for personal injury, clinical negligence and criminal injury cases throughout the UK. My role is to assess whether cosmetic camouflage products can reduce the visible appearance of scarring, burns, pigment loss or other skin differences, and to produce clear, impartial reports for use in litigation.

All assessments are carried out in person only, ensuring accurate colour-matching, realistic evaluation of coverage, and reliable evidence for the court.

All claimant consultations take place face-to-face to ensure precise evaluation. During the appointment, I:
  • examine the affected area(s)
  • test suitable camouflage products directly on the skin
  • colour-match to the claimant’s natural tone
  • assess coverage, blend quality and durability
  • discuss realistic expectations and limitations
  • consider lifestyle needs such as work, exercise and washing

This in-person assessment ensures that the final report reflects real, demonstrated outcomes rather than theoretical assumptions.


​​Product Suitability & Coverage Evaluation

Each report clearly outlines:
  • how well camouflage products can conceal the skin difference
  • whether complete, partial or minimal improvement is achievable
  • how the product performs on the specific skin texture
  • the expected longevity throughout daily activities
  • any practical limitations the court should be aware of

This section gives the court a clear understanding of what the claimant can reasonably expect from camouflage use.

Where appropriate, I provide full costings, including:
  • recommended products and shades
  • quantities required
  • frequency of replacement
  • tools and applicators
  • fixing or setting products
  • long-term cost projections

These costed plans assist with the calculation of damages, future treatment needs and ongoing expenses.

Each report is written in a clear, structured format and may include:

Reports are typically completed within eight weeks of the in-person assessment.
Urgent or earlier turnaround can be arranged, with additional fees, if required.
